BRUSH PEN INVENTORY CHALLENGE for December 2022!

Do you have too many brush pens and craft supplies? Do you really need more pens?

When someone first learns about starting a hand lettering journal, I often hear that they're excited to start actually using their pens and supplies. Does that sound familiar? You have so many supplies just sitting there waiting for you?? I totally get that!

I used to have way too many pens... more than I could use myself. In 2020, we were evacuated because of a fire and since then, I've had to reevaluate my relationship with stuff, particularly my pens. Since then, I have decluttered probably 50% of my pens. I don't regret getting rid of any of them! Honestly, I don't even remember what most of them were!

It's so important to do an inventory of pens or craft/art supplies! I feel like I don’t see people talk about this aspect much. We see a lot of videos about how people are organizing their pens and doing hauls. That's important too and there is a place for that.
 
But what about when the amount of pens you have feels overwhelming? Maybe one of the reasons it feels hard to create is because there are too many options, but if we’d clear out the clutter, it would open up space to feel creative again. Giving ourselves limits actually helps us to explore our creativity. Try it!
